Today's march by Palestinians and internationals from the International Solidarity Movement, the International Civil Campaign for the Protection of the Palestinian People and Grassroots International Protection for the Palestinian People follows on the heels of a thwarted attempt on Saturday by eight internationals to deliver food, water and medicine to the Muqata'a.

Following today's protest, John Reese of the ISM said, "We will continue to press for humanitarian aid for the people trapped inside the Muqata'a. Israel's actions here can only be described as inhuman."

Last night Palestinians in Ramallah, and throughout the Occupied Territories, took to the streets in protest of Israel's threat to blow-up the teetering remains of the Muqata'a.

Israel is demanding the surrender of several wanted men in the compound, but the Israeli government has yet to make good on its ultimatum. However, bulldozers of Israeli Occupation Forces continue to chip-away at the structurally precarious remains of the Muqata'a.

Arab and Israeli papers largely agree that the siege of Yasser Arafat's compound in Ramallah is unlikely to oust him from power or end suicide attacks.
