Meanwhile, in Niigata, Soga expressed regret at the breakdown of talks on establishing diplomatic ties between Japan and North Korea in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and Wednesday. During the talks, Japan demanded North Korea allow relatives of five abductees in the North to be reunited with them in Japan.
