9/11 International Investigations Begin; reflections from Ken Reiner, PLUS ...
Several weeks ago Dottie and I made a trip to San Francisco to attend a three day event described as the first part of an International Inquiry into 9-11. Many people throughout the world feel, as we now do, that our government has not levelled with us as to what really happened on that horrible day. Frankly, I initially accepted the stories of the Arab hijackers with boxcutters taking control of four airplanes and then converting them into “bombers” by plowing them into buildings, and reflected that view when writing my essay "Corporism: The Systemic Disease That Destroys Civilization" in 2002 (first published in January 2003).
On 9/11, when watching the events on TV, Dottie's first comments were different; it's a CIA action she observed which I just noted and went my way, like most of you I imagine, accepting the media's reporting of the 19 Arabs, how they shamelessly slit the throats of stewardesses and pilots, how some did not know the real purpose of their hijacking until too late, their names, their home bases, their relation to Osama bin Laden, where they learned to fly etc., etc.
It wasn't until sometime in early 2003 that I began to see, on the internet only, reports of people who had reason to believe the events of 9/11 were more than a “failure of security” by our government; that there might have been some complicity on the part of people within the Bush administration which by that time had certainly taken tremendous advantage of the event in reversing a failing presidency.
And then I discovered the article in the L.A.Times reporting on the “Project For A New American Century”, how the plans for the coming attack on Iraq were an integral plan of the team now running this country's military and how that plan had relied on a New Pearl Harbor event occurring in order to get American support at the ballot box!
With eyes, ears and mind now fully open I started to research what I discovered were hundreds of web sites started by people exploring the validity vs. the inconsistencies of the government story and claims, which were by this time being used by it for more and more actions limiting freedom, justice and dissent within our country.
What I found out is there are hundreds, actually thousands, of unanswered questions about why this or that happened, or didn't happen, and the Bush government has refused to allow any of these questions to be answered by people who have the facts within their command citing “national security” as a reason in virtually all instances.
(This last year there were 14,000,000 areas of inquiry described as secret and unreportable. The year before there were 11,000,000 and the year before that 8,000,000 per a report by the National Archives in Washington DC).
And yet, through diligent exploration by the vast reservoir of people, now “smelling a rat” as it were, there are a myriad of known facts that now make it abundantly clear to me that the Arab hijacker stories were an entire fabrication indulged in by the military-industrial-congressional complex to turn Americans into Arab/Muslim haters in order to allow the U.S. to set up military bases in the Middle East and enhance its imperial aim - world control by force and control of the major energy resources of the world. Tragically, to accomplish this, they have sacrificed several thosand of American lives already and plan to continue indefinitely - as long as they can pull the wool over the American citizenry via the controlled corporate media.
I believe it is essential that the people of this country, and the world as a whole need to know how the dastardly hoax of 9/11 was perpetrated, and by whom. It is readily apparent that our government will do its best to not disclose the facts it knows; the 9/11 Commission can be easily seen as a sham. Only investigating “how to prevent another attack” is its limited mission without even having the ability to investigate the facts of what really did happen before or during the event itself.
It is therefore up to the plain citizens of the world to gather the information as best they can, despite U.S. government opposition and present those facts as cogently, responsibly and as quickly as possible. Of course if a government in power took actions which killed 3,000 of its own citizens and residents, can it be expected to disclose how it did it?
It is toward the end of discovering as much as is possible from evidence outside U.S. government control, of which there is literally tons, that as concerned parents, grandparents and citizens of this great country, that Dottie and I attended the event in San Francisco and will be also attending the forthcoming event in Toronto the end of this month. As promised we will forward you what we learn from that event as soon as we can deliver a coherent report.
At this time, I am forwarding you preliminary information from the March event. You'll note there are numerous links to talks and videos, many extremely enlightening. We may never know all the details of exactly how 9/11 was planned and executed because “dead men tell no tales” and those perpetrators, who are still alive and well, will never admit to the murder of 3,000 innocent people.
The architects of 9/11 have no doubt framed plausible deniability among the leaders so that only the patsies get caught, but the stand down of fighter aircraft during the entire episode and the now detected explosives placed within all three towers (one of which was never hit by a plane!) that were needed to actually bring them down (one at least already acknowledged by the building's owner) in full view of the entire world's population via international TV is undeniable, irefutable evidence.
And of course the unwillingness of the Bush Administration to allow any facts to be explored is tantamount to “taking the Fifth” with all that that implies.
All the more reason that citizens of the world are going to have to do their own investigation, and draw their own conclusions, which is the goal of the International 911 Inquiry which we will be attending in Toronto the end of this month.
