BAGHDAD — At least eight people, including two lawmakers, were killed on Thursday, April 12, when a blast ripped through the parliament headquarters in the heart of the heavily fortified, US-protected Green Zone. "A suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt and carrying a briefcase entered the cafeteria," a security official told Agence France-Presse (AFP) on condition of anonymity.
"After the explosion, bodies were scattered here and there inside the cafeteria," said another senior official.
"The flesh of the suicide bomber was scattered across the cafeteria. There was blood everywhere on the floor." (MORE)
