Strengthen Public Water Systems Workshop, 24-26 August, Implementation Conference
Public Services International (PSI) will direct a two day workshop on
strengthening public water systems. The challenge is to develop tools -
political, technical, social and financial - that will be used around the
world to strengthen public water systems.
Participants will include the CEO of DMAE, the water and sanitation system of Porto Alegre, Brazil, who will release a new study in conjunction with PSI on their operations. We also expect a number of other public water operators, workers, NGOs, and governments.
The session will seek to:
* Create a global network of public water operators engaged in
strengthening public water systems, supported by national and international
institutions.
