UN reparations panel pays out nearly $396.5 million
for Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait

The United Nations Compensation Commission, which settles the damage claims of those who suffered losses due to Iraq's 1990 invasion of Kuwait, today announced the disbursement of about $396.5 million, bringing the total paid out to date to nearly $21 billion.
