The Funeral of Christiane N. Martens, Co-Publisher of the ‘U.N. OBSERVER’

A lovely garden-like cemetery in The Hague now holds the physical remains of Christiane Martens. The ceremony and reception took place on Monday, 10 July, from 12 o’clock until 2 in the afternoon. Many friends were able to attend the Requiem Mass celebrated by the Dutch speaking Australian priest, Father Brendan Arthur of the Society of St. Pius X. The Mass was in Latin but he spoke in English and Dutch to the congregation.

It could no longer hold her.

Christiane is now Free !

With Insight, Wisdom, Courage and Joy,

She graced our lives, in so many ways.

Let her warmth now comfort us,

As we bid her, adieu.
