Monday 12 June is International Child Labour Day.
An estimated 126 million children are in hazardous work - one in every 12 of the world's children aged between five and 17 years old.
Girls as young as six are forced to work as domestic servants in West Africa, boys as young as four years old are trafficked to be used as camel jockeys in the Gulf states and in South Asia children are used as bonded labour in brick kilns. They are forced to work long hours, in brutal conditions and are denied their right to education, rest and recreation.
The ILO Convention on the worst forms of child labour outlines steps governments need to take to end labour that is harmful to a child's health and welfare, click here to find out what you can do.
