Corporate Globalisation and the dramatic increase in world-wide migration are creating immense problems for most nation-states. Questions of National Sovereignty, Human Rights, union and non-union Workers’ Rights, as well as environmental issues abound. Meanwhile, a much neglected question remains largely ignored, that of those nations which straddle the boundaries of more powerful Nation-States.
Ofelia Rivas, a member of the O’odham nation which is divided by the boundary between Mexico and the United States, speaks of some of the issues her people face.
