After occupying the large farm of Alexandre Maehara in Paranapoema, Parana in south Brazil, members of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) have left food crops to ruin.
Here's an example of a corn crop under the auspices of illegal land invaders.
The Brazilian government told the invaders to leave because Maehara's farm was productive
and abiding by the country's stringent labor laws.
